answerguru Hi... it%26#39;s not so much the long distance I%26#39;m interested in, as it is
the other stuff. I just got a new apt and am going to be paying them
$50 per month + long distance. But I%26#39;m not going to be using the phone
that much. Is there a cheaper monthly fee... and how does it compare
to my $50/mo thing? Hi there,
After refining the search, here are two plans that I think are
suitable for you, both found at:
http://www.rcn.com/new_york/phone/local_calling_manhattan.html
RCN New York Basic Calling Plan
%26quot;At $6.27 per month, the New York Basic Calling Plan is the right
choice for people who place a low number of local calls that are short
in duration. With low local and regional usage rates, you pay for what
you need, only when you need it!%26quot;
RCN Ultra Calling Plan
%26quot;The RCN Ultra Calling Plan is popular among people who love to chat,
but don%26#146;t have time to worry about usage rates for local and regional
calls. With 1,500 minutes of local and regional calling included, the
RCN Ultra Calling Plan provides a hassle free, worry free option for
only $35 per month. Want even more value? The RCN Ultra Calling Plan
now includes Caller ID Deluxe, Call Waiting, and Call Waiting ID
Deluxe for no extra cost!%26quot;
From my understanding, you are currently paying the $50+/mo with Bell
Atlantic, but it seems you would be better off switching to one of
these plans instead.
Hope this helps :)
answerguru Great, thanks!! AT%26amp;T also offers local service in Manhattan, for a flat fee per month.
If you make a lot of local calls it%26#39;s not a bad idea-- otherwise,
you%26#39;ll probably save money with Verizon. Check out the att.com site.
