Name of cookie from the past

Around the year 1950 Nabisco (I think) had a cookie that was a favorite of my grandfather and I would like to know its name. It was flat, had a tan doughy outside and a sticky fig-like inside. When pulled from the package it came in twos or threes and had to be separated. When separated, the figgy interior stretched a bit before breaking. It was not sweet but was delicious.
Are you looking for Sunshine Golden Raisin Biscuits? I loved those! Sunshine was eventually purchased by Keebler, who discontinued these. They came in a long flat package. If you pulled out a sheet, there were three or four sections. They were perforated, so you could bend and pull them apart. The crust was baked golden-brown, thin, but not crispy. Not sugary, more like a thin pie crust. The filling was a pressed raisin paste. The sections had scalloped edges on the short sides and were flat on the long sides. Do these sound like your cookies? - Hammer
I found a picture of these at the Internet Archive Wayback Machine: http://web.archive.org/web/20011106000803/http://www.keebler.com/sunshine/prods_nutrition/golden_fruit/golden_fruit_fam.htm
I appreciate the answers and especially the link to the site where the Sunshine Golden Raisin Biscuits package was displayed. From Hammer%26#39;s description, it sure sounds as if this was the cookie that my grandfather loved, and caused me many cavities. However, my memory (likely faulty) says it was a Nabisco product. I wish the Sunshine Golden Raisin Biscuit product was still on the market so I could run out and try a batch to see if it jogged my memory. Thanks to all who have helped in the search. JG
These sure sound like Fig Newtons, which were around in the fifties (I think) and are still very much around today.
Hello I realize that it has been over a year since you posted your question, but I am a new member and was just browsing through some of the present and past questions. If you check the website www.thevermontcountrystore they have a product called %26quot;Garibaldi Biscuit Bars%26quot; which I believe are very similar to the product you were looking for. Good luck, C
They sure sound like fig newtons to me.
